Experience religious art in the making: witness demonstrators using metal, glass, sand, stone, eggs, and ink to create beautiful expressions of faith. This event is one of two annual opportunities to self-guide throughout the building, including all galleries, the primary bedroom, and the Tower. While here, visit the temporary exhibition Easter Eggs: Symbols of Rebirth and Renewal and participate in family-friendly activities. Artist and craft demonstrations will include: Chanting Icon writing Islamic Calligrapy Lithuanian Egg Art Metal forging Mosaics Sand mandala completion and dismantling Stained glass fabrication Stone carving Culinary treats will be provided by King Gyro, a Halal food truck normally located in nearby Northeast Philadelphia, on-site from 1:00-5:00 pm. Event attendance is not required to purchase food.
